Default NFR AP2 S2000

I had a local forum member contact me about doing a detail on him new AP2 he recently purchased. It required the removal of a 3M Clear Bra and paint correction. The paint was in over all decent shape with the typical dealership detail performed on it. Surprisingly, there was oxidation on the mirrors and of course the damage left over from the clear bra.

This is my first time posting up my work so I'm sorry for the lack of photos. I will answer any and all questions as best as I can. I just want to say that removing a 3M bra is an absolute nightmare. The amount of adhesive left behind took over 3 hours to remove.

Thank you Alan (ATB117) for allowing me to work on your S2000. I hope you enjoy driving it as much as I did rehabbing it.

Products used are as follows:

-Assorted wash mitts & wheel/tire brushes
-Griot's 6" polisher
-Griot's Clay Bar
-Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner
-Uber buffing pads
-Assorted microfiber towels
-3M Automotive adhesive remover
-Menzerna FG400
-Griot's Machine Polish 2
-Griot's Best of Show Wax
-Stoner's Invisible Glass cleaner

Dropped off the night before.

Glue left over after bra removal

Oxidized side mirrors

Prepping for paint correction process

After correction process. No more swirls, holograms, or imperfections. I'm sorry I didn't take a before pic but this is the first time I'm posting up.

You did excellent work, Sean. It's a shame my damn cat jumped on it a week after I picked it up. -_- My car cover works wonders now.
