A New Use for the Porter Cable Polisher
I heard my wife asking me to polish her twin stainless sink and the first thing that came to mind was my PC polisher. I bought the window polishing kit from Classic Motoring Accessories, so I grabbed the small velcro-backed disk, the metal polish and a pad of 3M Scotch-Brite (nylon steel wool). I stuck the Scotch-Brite pad on the velcro and grabbed a pair of scissors and trimmed it to fit the backing disk.
The velcro backing on the small (3") disk held the Scotch-Brite pad quite nicely. I applied the metal polish to the Scotch-Brite pad and quickly realized that I needed to remove the side handle. There wasn't enough room to move the polisher inside the sink with the handle mounted. It didn't take very long to polish the sink at all. I was very pleased with the amount of time and effort the PC saved me. I was polishing the sink by hand before the PC arrived. What a difference it made. The thing that took more time than anything else was cleaning the metal polish off of everything.
My wife was so pleased with the results that she doesn't want to use the sink and spoil the looks of it. I wound up with a very nice satin finish with NO swirl marks.

i used to use my wife's stainless steel cleaner that she used on the fridge on my stainless exhausts, so i guess its fair to use the pc on the sink!!
