Default New Paint after accident repair

My car was involved in a run in with a deer in early May. The repairs were finished the 4th of June. So the paint will be ready to wax by July 4th.

My question is, are their any special techniques or precautions to take with new paint? Or do I just wax as normal?

Thanks!

If your body shop says that the paint will have cured by July 4th, then feel free to wax it as normal on or after that date

make sure you check it for any "orange peel", roughness, etc before waxing to see if it needs any polishing.
