NEED SOME ADVICE FROM THE PROS!
Well, I am detailing this red NSX and it had some pretty deep swirling, so I had to cut it in pretty good. Now the only thing is, I am left with very slight holograms in the paint on the hood and trunk but I cannot seem to get them back out. I tried a couple different variations of pads/polish with not much luck.
Steps used:
Menzerna IP/PFW (on some parts)
Menzerna IP/White
Menzerna 106ff/White
Now, I guess I need to know which combination will best help me get these holograms out of the car, btw it is only on the hood and trunk(flat panels). I havent really ever had this problem before, usually the 106ff will take care of it but not this time..
The poducts I have available are:
Menzerna IP
Menzerna 106ff
Menzerna PO85rd
LC PFW
LC Orange
LC White
LC Blue
Anyone have any advice??? Thanks!

NSX paint is notoriously soft... 106FF is way too aggressive to finish down hologram-free on it. Remember, it was designed for ceramic clearcoats. You're going to need Menzerna's FPII and a black or blue LC pad to finish the job. PO85RD might work, since it's a bit milder than 106FF, but it was also designed for ceramic clears, and might be too abrasive still. Give it a try first though, and if it doesn't work, see if you can pick up some FPII

Remember with the 85rd+blue on soft clears, only take it up to 1200rpms MAX and work it EXTREMELY slow. With 1200rpms and slow, it'll take you about 5 minutes to break down a section of polish, rather than 1-2 minutes. Be sure to check your paint temp frequently. If you go to fast, the marring will stay.
Good luck!

OK guys! GOOD NEWS!!! PO85rd on a blue pad did the trick! I spent about an hour over on Autopia looking for advice and found some really good stuff!
I spread the polish at 1000rpms.
Then went to 1400rpms for 2 passes(took this advice from Todd-TH001)
Then took it back down to 1200rpms for a couple more passes.
Then back down to 1000rpms for a final pass.
Now the beautiful Red NSX is hologram free! Unfortunately I only had time to finish the hood, and I wont be able to work on the car again until Tues..(its a friend of mine, so he doesnt mind)
Maybe Ill post a teaser in a few minutes!
