I am about to buy this from another member. it looks a complete state at the moment but I have faith in the Tuner Gods that this tired looking mufflercan be brought back to its former glory. A bit of autosol on the tips and cannisters should do the trick. However, can anyone suggest how to bring the rest back to an acceptable standard.

Thanks in advance guys

+1 on the low speed machine and 1210 Autosol liquid with a wool metal polishing pad.

I didn't even know there was such a thing. Now I'm off to try and find one small enough to work on a set of wheels. Thanks!

^^
Be careful using them on coated, plated or painted surfaces. Lake Country makes some excellent wool pads and I think Eastwood Garage offers them too.

I would scrub it with APC first then follow up with few steps you would use on paint. Seen some excellent results on this forum dont remember the thread but came out like new.

Forgive my ignorance, what is "APC"?
