Thumbs up Need Help

Hey guys,

I am new to the forum and haven't visited the wash & wax board yet. Anyways, I'll make things short. I am looking for the best product (other than soap and water) to clean out the wheel wells of my car.

Any suggestions would be great, also a potential place to purchase the product as well.

Thanks a bunch!

hey janzen... welcome to the wackos board-
when we are awake, we reply right away!!

we have a wheel cleaning thread and i will track it down for you. it was written by a brilliant member -

several choices, including car shampoo- its the wheel brushes that are the trick.
i like p21s wheel cleaner cause its gentle and does the job usually. also sonus makes some good cleaners.

and stay away from acid based products (our wheels are clearcoated) if you can.

-------

there are other threads on this topic, but this one is from our "how to" section at the top of our board:

Cleaning wheel wells or cleaning wells and wheels? I use an APC to do wheel wells. Meguiars APC is what I sue sometimes.

Other good ones would be:
Adams APC
Optimum power clean
DP cleanse all

There are a lot of detailing supply places that sell some good ones.

If you order from our sponsor, detailersdomain.com, enter in s2ki in the discount section to get 10% off.

anymore questions, just ask.

-Roger.

I personally use this stuff:
1Z Blitz

In this bottle:
1Z HandSprayer

As long as the wheels aren't too filthy from brake dust. It works very well. Might seem a little pricey, but I dilute it 5:1 (I only use distilled water for diiluting chemicals). I love the smell of it too
I use it on engines sometimes and wheel wells as well.

Hello again,

It'll take me sometime to get the pictures up as I am not in the best location to purchase quality products. I will have to order them online but I spoke to Phil (detailersdomain.com) on how to ship to Canada cheaper. So hopefully I have some products in hand by the end of the month (haha). I will be in Vancouver at the end of the month and plan to take a look around there as well so hopefully I get some quality products soon.

I will certainly take a look at the forum specifically for wheel cleaning!!

Thanks for the warm welcome to the forum and wannabe I'll get back to you buddy!
