need advice for tree sap removal
i guess i didn't realize spruce trees threw off sap. what's the best technique for removal? elbow grease and regular car soap? i would imagine that whatever removes the sap will take the wax as well.

Try some 3M 303 vinyl top cleaner and protectant. I had regular tree sap and it seemed to work. You can check your local auto store or go online to by it. I got mine at www.properautocare.com.

Turtle Wax sap/tar remover has pretty good results. Comes in an aerosol form. Works better in warm conditions, since the sap will be much more pliable, hence easier to remove than it would be in cool conditions. Only downside is that once used, you will have to reapply wax/Zaino to the affected area, since the Turtle Wax will strip the paint of any kind of chemical protectant.
Good luck.
