Default Natural Chamois Warning!

I recently read that natural chamois should not be used to dry your car because it strips the wax.

Is this true?

If someone knows the facts of this matter, I would appreciate an explanation.

Thanks in advance.

same here... and i have used just about every synthetic and natural chamois available.
always prefer the real thing- if it took the finish off my car, it would not look like the black glass that it is!

I believe the natural chamios will strip the wax because of the friction between the wax on the chamios itself. The best product that I have used for drying is:

Maveric, where did you recently read this? I've never heard this before and I've been washing cars for a long time.
The problem is, I can't remember where I read this. I think that I read it on a car care website recently when I was doing research on car washing.

I will try to find the exact location of this information and post the url here.

However, I don't think that it explained why natural chamois strips wax. Could it be the natural oils? I'd like to know the exact reason...

The "Absorber" from AutoZone, $9.95 is the best damn "chamois" I've EVVVVER-EVER used. I'll never go back to a real chamois now... it lasts longer, stays soft, absorbs more water... 110% must have.
