Default Nanotechnology in car wax....?

Anyone seen the ad for a new wax claiming to use "nanotechnology"? Is this major snake oil or does it have an elelment of truth to it?

isnt nanotech a surface study? would make sense that someone would figure out a wax type product from it.

As far as I know, nanotechnology deals with the smallest sizes of matter possible. A quick search for wax only brought up ski wax

I saw it in the Advanced Autoparts the other day. I was tempted, but I'm pretty content with NXT.

Jesus. They sure are stretching the meaning of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology usually refers to the construction of molecular sized devices, one molecule at a time, using incredible precision to place each molecule exactly where you want it (which is still mostly theoretical and in very early stages of R&D). Eagle One sounds like they just developed a wax that is molecularly smaller than a conventional wax. I'm not too sure if there's any precision in the process they use to manufacture 1000's of gallons a day...

sounds like snake oil to me.

Mind you, I have never detailed my car with snake oil, I wonder how it would look
