MY MY00 with 5,900 original miles suffered two major issues---dead paint and horribly oxidized rear plastic window.

PRODUCTS:

Meguiars Plast X, microfiber applicator and a Cobra Microfiber towel to remove the product.

Thoughts: That was a very difficult task---my hands are going to hurt for a few days! I went over the outside 4 times and the inside three. You have to push really hard to get it to work, but it does work. The prior owner probably never did this before. There is some permanent marring, but overall, it looks 95% better and I can now see out my back window!

Wow! HUGE improvement. PlastX is good stuff. I don't have a plastic rear window but I do use PlastX on my guage cluster and head/tail lights.

I tried it with my PC but chickened out b/c, even with a yellow pad, I was having to use some MAD pressure. I was worried it would break the plastic window...

I've noticed that most of the scratches to my plastic window occure on the inside, from dropping the top obviously. Did you use the Plast X on the inside as well as the outside?

Yes---4 times on the out and three on the in. It's not perfect, but it's at least 95%. Good enough for me!
