Default my neighbors sprinklers got me.

I got water spots all over my passenger side and on the window. I have read that vinegar works on windows, but the whole car? Should I just wash and clay it?

Thanks

I just rinse the vehicle with a powerwasher and then dry it.

unfortunately I didn't catch it till it was dry. then I had to go straight to work. I washed it when I got home but they are still there. I am going to clay it today, hopefully this takes them out.

a 50/50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar . if its etched into the clear i would suggest a mild polish and wax job.

as above-

first step is detail spray... if that doesnt get it

carbon blue's got the vinegar mix for ya

and as he said, if its still there, usually a paint cleaner will do it- and also assuming its not etched (if you can catch an edge with a fingernail you are etched and outta luck- you can minimize etchs but cant eliminate them easily)

thanks guy, I just used vinegar. that didn't take it completely out of the paint but it worked like a charm on the glass. I have started to clay the car and they are going away, but not completely.

thanks for all you help

Cleaner time....

I was in that situation with my prelude, it took me 5 hours to get them out with Cleaner, More cleaner, Polish and then wax. The water spots set on the car for good 10+ hours before I found out. Then drover from friends house to a car wash like a mad man.
