Mother's--underrated?
Can't believe how good my finish looks. I was itching to give the car a cleaning but I ended up not using a cleaner. I went by the local hardware store and picked up some Mother's products.
I started with Zymol wash, the blue stuff. Then straight to Mother's sealer/glaze, then a coat of paste carnauba (in the 6 inch can). Washed the car a week later and then spritzed it with Zymol quik detailer and it looks.....fantastic! Warm, deep and glowing with just the right amount of gloss.
The car hardly gets dirty at all now. My mitt stays clean and I use barely any car wash solution.
Looks like that can of NXT I bought may languish on the shelf for a while.

the nxt will be good when you decide to remove the mothers!
(if you top the mothers with the nxt it will like remove it)-
and if you like mothers, give p21s a try some time... if you do, be sure to post up a product comparison (havent seen those two compared for awhile). i havent used mothers for a few years now, so cant really comment on their current carnubas- but my recollection was that they were a bit more work than p21s.
btw, not trying to be critical- if you have a product that you like thats great... but if you have a chance, i would really like to see a p21s comparo!

Have tried P21S. It doesn't glow like this. I think one of the reasons people get all hard over this stuff is because it goes on like butter and is almost as easy to remove. That's not enough for me. Plus the tiny jar and applicator are all but worthless. I could barely get 3 fingers on it.
I really like that Zymol wash--and it isn't even the pricey stuff that's in the white bottles. It seemed more slippery than GC.
I would like to compare this Mother's combo with that of my old guard, Meguiar's #7 and #26, which I haven't used in years.

elbee-
the secret to that little p21s jar is to turn it upside down and tap it- the carnuba will drop out in your hand. i then rub it on my pads when i am using the pc
i agree with the zymol (used to be called auto bathe) wash- great stuff.
but i would use the p21s any day over the meg products (yes, it is a personal opinion!)
