Microfiber detailing cloths = good!
Just thought I'd share my car cleaning experience this last weekend as I know I'm not the only obsessed person on this board.
Needed to order some 303 top cleaner and protectant a few weeks ago and saw these microfiber detailing cloths advertised. I have used 100% cotton for years with good results and frankly microfiber sounded like hype. Well, I ordered them anyway cause I am a gadget freak and now I can say I'm glad I did.
#1> No lint!!!!! Washed/dried the car and applied a touch up detailing wax. Wiped her down with the microfiber and holy crap - no lint residue!! This made my day as my s2k is black and EVERY thing shows up on it! I was a little nervous that I might get fine scratches (cause hey, it's not cotton), but after a couple of "test sections", I was convinced it was at least as good as cotton.
#2> Never need to buy window cleaner again (glass). They had this glass cleaning specific cloth that I figured had to be total hype. The package claims that you can wet it with water, wring it out, and wipe down your windows with no streaks! I'm thinking "B.S."... So I let my windows dry without wiping them down - water spots everywhere!! Followed the directions and I have to say, it worked as advertised. Maybe not quite as nice as a full blown cleaning, but then again it only took 2 minutes. Great for a quick clean.
Overall, I'm pretty darn impressed - am I the last person to try microfiber out? Anyone have any bad experiences with microfiber?

I've been using microfiber cloth for some years on my camera/optical equipment and I've been amazed at how good they are for that purpose. However, I've never seen large ones suitable for car work for sale. From whom did you order them?

They're called Proper Auto Care
The site seems kind of minor league but I can't complain about their service. Plus it's one of the only places I've found that carries such a wide assortment of car care stuff. I'm sure you can find more info on them via a search (that's how I learned about them).

Agreed on the great products and tips.
By "minor league" I mean the site is unpolished. The design is dated to say the least and the online purchase system is powered by Yahoo. Not that every site needs to be state of the art, but a well designed site provides additional confidence for first time buyers. Look at what the cool wheel chooser interface does for Tirerack. Makes me want to buy some 18" wheels!!

I use microfiber towels for removing Zaino from the car. And I also get no lint. I also believe that it is better and softer than cotton. Cotton on black cars can still give you swirl marks.
I wanted to order the microfiber towel for the windows but I thought it was a bunch of hype.
