Default maguiars leather wipes...

I used them for the first time and I feel the shine is to strong. How long will it be untill it goes away or will it? I only dud it on the passanger seat and I did not like the look, will it ever go abck to looking like the drivers seat or should I wipe both of them and then wait?

These wipes are excellent, but you need to go over everything again with a clean cotton towel to remove the excess leather conditioner.

would it be a good idea or a bad idea to use them on the dash too? Or should I get a different kind of wipe for that?

Meguiar's makes a dash product, but I forgot the name of it....works pretty well though.

The product is called Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectant. It is a wonderful product. I applied it over 4 months ago to my dash and it still look excellent.

Not to add more to a misplaced thread, BUT - I've used both the "leather" and "interior" wipes ONCE before, but stopped because they just slather the stuff on! I took one swipe with the interior wipes and recoiled in horror as my dash looked like a mirror! Took 20 minutes of wiping with a damp rag to get it off there. Granted, I like very little "bling" in the shine on my interior, but jeez.....sluallstar said it best above about the wiping down after application. For my money, I'd rather buy the stuff in the bottle and apply it myself on a cotton rag. At least then you can control how much you're putting on.

P.S. - Nice color choice!! The Dark Side needs you!!

I agree completely. This is the best way to go but not as convenient.

This is the most horrific leather product I have ever used. Made the seats look like they were covered with armour all. Made the seats squeeky to! It was a lot of work to get the stuff off and go back to my Zymol conditioner. Most of Maguires stuff is great though.
