beautiful huh? see those comets streaking across the starry night sky? well, those stars are just dust motes from a day of driving and those comets? with the beautiful tails??... they're friggin gouges down to the metal!! I'm like cruisin' down the hwy and some white object comes flying off a big truck and skips right across my hood! ugh.
okokok. so I've got some OEM Honda Berlina Black touch-up paint and I'd really appreciate any input in how to apply it and get my once pristine hood back to looking like a long black mirrored surface.
I'm thinking this:
1) wash the gouges with Dawn soap
2) lightly sand the area with a very fine grit sandpaper
3) dab some touch-up paint with a q-tip or something
4) try to smooth it out
5) try not to cry when it doesn't come out looking perfect
please tell me there is hope. that I can get this hood looking good again without a professional paint job.
thanks in advance for your input.

oh and I forgot to post that I also have a couple gouges in the front bumper too. since it is plastic, I'm guessing it'll have to be melted to smooth out the little pits?
this is what I get for deciding to not spend the $$$ for a clear bra.

I use honda touch up paint, apply very thin layer wait 10 minutes then reapply till the paint is even.
From the picture it looks pretty bad, you could try.....
I know how you feel, my S2k is only two months old and my front end already has couple big gouges...
