Loads of bug on my Berlina Black paint!
I just picked up my S2000 and drove it home 14 hours from Jackson MS, to Bonita Springs, FL. I think I must have found every bug between here and there with the noze and windshield of my car. Especially the really big, mushy ones that look like someone threw a spoon of French's Mustard at you!
What is the safest way to get these off? The car is only 2 days old and I don't want to screw up my finish first time out washing.
Thanks!

first, welcome to the car and to the board!!!

what kinda protection do you have on the car? (wax or synthetic)
here is a good article:

i like einzett bug remover... and if you can get a "bug sponge" that helps too.
just be sure to soak the bugs before removal. then dont scrub hard, but just wash the car gently until you know that you have all the bugs off.
i usually rinse with water (or put a wet rag over the bugged area for about 10 minutes) and let sit a few minutes then use the einzett (i also soak with it and let it sit first). i then wash the area and rewax .

Well, they came off much easier than I thought. I got home after dark and around 8:30pm, I soaked the front of the car with the hose for about 5 minutes. I was suprized how easy the bugs just sprayed off! Took a clean mit and almost no soap at all and removed the final few stagglers. Gave a quick swab around the car with another mit to finish. Then I broke out the trusty leaf blower and gave her a quick dry. Some neighbors were out walking their dog, you should have seen their faces when I fired up the blower in the dark. What was funnier was the expression on their faces when they got close enough to see me drying the car!
"Strange people do strange things" <-- That's what I said to them when I shut it off. They just looked at me like I was nuts!

So, this is a 2006 model? If so, can you please get some pics up so we can see the new features. I don't think I've seen any actual pictures (from an owner on the site) of the newest model.

For future reference, soak a large beach towel with water and lay it over the hood/bumper and let it sit while you wash the rest of the car. By the time you get to the front, the bugs should come right off. This assumes they are only a day or two old.
