Left over Z1 under the Z5, how do I take it off?
I made a mistake of putting too much Z1 on last night and now I have numerous "wet spots" undernearth the Z5.
How do I take it off?
Good news is 90% of the swirls are gone

Have you removed the Z-5 that you put overtop of the Z-1? If you havn't give it another night of dry time. If you already removed the Z-5 & are unhappy with the finish of the paint...
1. Wash car with dawn to remove the zaino
2. Dry car with 100%cotton towels(fieldcrest, cannon, etc.)
3. Apply Z-1(5 dime size drops should be more than enough
to do your entire Mcoupe)
4. Apply Z-5 overtop of the Z-1 & give plenty of time to dry
A good way to do the process is to do it at night & let the Z-1 & Z-5 dry overnight while your asleep, the next morning when you wake up you can remove the Zaino.
I would def. recommend ZFX . With ZFX you no longer need to do the Z-1 process & wait hrs. & hrs. for drying time. With ZFX drying time is 30-45mins. & you can apply 3coats a day
Good Luck

Damnit, I dont want to remove the Z3. That means I will have to deal with swirls again
There has to be another way.
What if I let it cake in the sun a little longer? Will the Z1 dry underneath the Z5?

I have no idea if the Z-1 will dry underneath the Z-5 as i have never heard of this problem before. Let me ask you though how many coats of Z-5 have you put on the car so far? With Z-5 without the use of ZFX i was only able to apply 3 coats a week . You figure you put a coat on Monday night, go to bed remove the zaino in the morning, then have to wait 24hrs. to put on the next coat, that means you can't put another coat on until Wed. morning, so you figure your getting about 3coats a week. Imagine getting 3coats of Z-5 in a single day, hell if you feal like putting on 3coats everyday thats 21coats of zaino a week , with ZFX you can make that possible.

I have two coats of Z5. Good ole So Cal humidity and hot sun makes it possible to do it within 1 1/2 day
I will sit it out and see if Z1 dries. I believe it does.

well, your problem seems weird (and yes, 5 days old) - Ill assume all is well now BUT
z1 is intended to be under the top coat (z2/3or5)
it does dry / cure there -
i am imagining that maybe you layered your z5 over a not yet coat of z1 ?
it would have smeared together then . . and that may account for what you are/were looking at.
any updates for us . . .
and if you were really concerned with certain areas . .
take some rubbing alcohol, a soft soft cotton cloth and remove the zaino from those areas, start over . .
