Default Left my window 1/3 down during rain

Hey
Must be my worst luck these days, one night while parking i found a lil cockroach running around my door trim on my side so opened my window and smacked it away. It was dark as well and little did i know i only winded up my windows 2/3 up and locked the car and was left in moderate/light rain for near 16hours and i didn't park it under the carport as i had another car there. To my surprise the interior isn't very wet but its going to be raining for the next 3 days and and i would love to just leave the roof down with the sun out to dry but i don't have that option. I wanted to blast my heater on full heat and let it steam it self but my heater core is blocked and i only have aircon. I left it for while with the air con hoping it reduce the humidity and let it dry up. The carpet is only slightly wet luckily and i tried just wiping as much as possible and left some rice in attempt for the rice to soak up some the water. Wondering has this happened to other people and methods did you use to dry it up? I'm sure it as happened to some of us so i love to hear your experience with dealing with slightly wet interior.
thanks in advance

Honestly, this never has happened to me but I'll chime in. Maybe take a blow dryer and just go to town? lol. The rice sounds like a good idea. I'm sure other people have better ideas. Just trying to help.

You need to get air circulating to get the carpets dry or you'll have a stinky moldy mess. Your best bet (alot of work) would be to take the carpet out completely and hang it somewhere seperately with a few fans blowing on it. I've had water leaks in other cars (my '95 Mustang) and if you dont dry it out, you will get mold between the carpet and the floorpan and no amount of shampooing will get that smell out.

Also, if the leather seats got water on them, make sure you apply leather conditioner to them ASAP. The water will remove some of the oils from the leather and when they dry out they are more likely to crack or wear prematurely.

Got anyone that would let you park in their garage? Doors open, top down, leave a box fan blowing over the carpet.

I like the rice idea. Towel dry, add rice.

Well some luck as finally turned up
there was sun today over here at sydney and the rain stopped!!!
Im letting the roof down now and drying it up
the rice was doing fairly well as well, it was wet-ish when tried to feel it.
no bad odors despite the car sitting in the rain afterwards for 2 days.
Hopefully no mold and no bad odors later on
thanks for the help guys
