I had the same problem at first....try using a very smooth cloth. I mean the smoothest you can get, silk if you must! Use lots of the Blob eliminator and do not rub it into the cloth. Rub less vigorously than suggested in the directions.

What I ended up doing is getting the are flat and then putting a very thin/final coat of paint over the area. The blob eliminator seemed to ruin the metallic effect in the paint, although the silver color was ok. This final coat does the trick. Go to a supply store and pick up a very very small detail brush. Make sure you almost dab all of the paint off of it before touching the car and then put it on with a normal paint stroke so that the final coat is very thin. DO NOT dab it on like you would with a tooth pick to actually fill the chip.

Note:

Basically what I described above lets you use actual paint to fill the chip so that now you have a smooth surface to hide rather than a hole.

I may as well put my .02 in because I've used the stuff.

I tried it on a small chip on my Sebring and I found it a total waste of money.

The touch-up I did without it looked much better. Don't get me wrong, the Honda touch-up paint didn't even come close to matching the OEM Sebring paint, but the Langka just made a mess of the texture and color.

I've actually used the Langka myself on Sebring Silver. The touch-up paint (Honda) that I had was actually a pretty good match. When I used the Langka, it did smooth out the surface, but it turned the touch up paint into a darker color and dulled it. It sounds like NECurve had a similar experience. Overall, I would not use this product again. I think that you can achieve better results with other methods. I recently read a promising article in bettercarcare.com (http://www.bettercarcare.com/articles.php?articleId=27) and I hope to try it out this weekend. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I tried touching up some chips in the front wheel well with the Honda paint this past weekend. Awful! The Rio Yellow color is so darn thin! Thankfully, the chips are not in an obvious place...however, I'd hate to see what happens when I actually have to rely on this method. Not good.
