langka for paint touch-up
several folks have asked me about this...
http://www.langka.com/
i have not used it, but have heard a few good things about it-
sounds like a great product for making paint touch-up an easy process.
any comments??

Langka works well for most cars.
The problem with using Langka as well as using a traditional paint chip technique, is they both rely on using the factory touch up paint. Honda touch up paint is horrible. You can see right through the yellow. It is too thin. I used traditional methods and Langka along with primer. I can get the touch up paint in the chip and get it perfectly smooth to a point where you can't even feel it. The problem is that you can still see right through the touch up paint to the primer or body panel. It still looks like a chip. I need to take some pictures.

I just ordered langka! I plan on doing the touch up this weekend. I'll post results when done.
The silverstone touchup paint I got from Honda looks pretty good. I already did a couple of chips and you can't tell unless you know where to look. They are raised slightly and I ordered the langka to try and get rid of the small bumps.

I tried the Langka with mixed results this weekend.
I first used it on a spot that is about the size of a pencil eraser. The Honda touochup paint matches well, but could be better. I think that the Silverstone is so metallic that it is difficult to get it perfect.
The paint looks like a good match from a glance but I had the dreaded blob effect going on...
So out comes the Langka.
It does what it says, within 30 seconds of applying the Langka as dirrected I was able to get the chip to become flush with the surrounding area. Unfortunatley, whatever is in the Langka seemed to dull the Mettallic look of the Silverstone and so it now looks like gray rather than Silverstone.
It may also be that as the paint cures the Metallic substance in the paint rises to the surface and that surface is exactly what you strip off with the Langka. i don't know .
I did attempt the process on an area half the size with much better results. This time after using Langka and then the Zaino process in the same area, the spot is gone!!!
May have to clean out the first chip and try again...
I'll update you if I do.
Sorry I don't have pics right now. My digital is at work. I'll try and post pics later this week!

Thanks for the report. I'm interested in picking up this product too for my silverstone. Pictures would be great when you get the chance. Has anyone else had the opportunity to use this stuff yet?

My experiences (done twice)
I found that Honda's Silverstone was the ebst match over Chip Mender and AutoVisuals.
I applied the Langka and waited the time they said (coupla hours - it removed all the paint).
I let it dry a day (multiple coats, 1 hour apart) and had the same problem - it smoothed thre surface but removed the paint.
I am waiting a week to try it again.
