Can I put Menzerna FMJ over wax assuming of course that its had adequate cure time? In the past it was a 2 day process for me to get 6 coats of Zaino ( 3 a day w/ZFX accelerant) before I'd top it of with a carnuba wax. So I'd like to layer the FMJ if possible.

A synthetic shouldn't be placed over a carnauba until 4-6 weeks has elapsed. Keep in mind that carnauba waxes are loaded with oils. You must wait for the oils to wash or evaporate away. The oils in the fresh carnauba will prevent a synthetic from binding and will just be wasted and washed away.

Carnauba is also full of solvents. Some (like Sal Zaino) don't recommend using carnauba as a topper to a synthetic because the solvents in the carnauba may damage the synthetic barrier.

I start with a clean car that has been stripped of any LSP. I apply a few coats of Wolfgang and let it cure. I top my Wolgang after with Pinnacle Souveran or another carnauba wax. I won't however apply any more Wolfgagng until i know for sure my carnauba is gone or i strip it off.

Can I hijack with a question about Wolfgang sealant? I am trying that this year and than topping with Pinnacle caranuba. How many layers of Wolfgang should I apply before the Pinnacle?

Thanks
