Just got my S... quick question on vinyl top cleaning please
It's dirty already and tomorrow is going to be in the 40's here so there is no way i'm gonna spend hours outside washing it by hand..i plan on taking it to a "do it yourself" carwash (not the auto wash, the ones that have bays that you drive into and spray it yourself w/ water/soap/etc.)..anyways..when doing this, should i spray the vinyl top?..Specifically..should i use the soapy water on the vinyl top? Sorry for the dumb question, but i did look through this forum and couldn't find a definitive answer on the top accept for using water protectant on it.
Thanks

clean with any type of auto wash soap and then apply gently with a WAX pad, 303 protectant on the top which will protect the top from pollution and also from the sun.

I soap the roof every other time I wash my car,and once a month I apply Lexyol with a damp sponge and the top comes out really nice with a deep black look. Not sure how much 303 is but Lexyol runs about 6-7 bucks and a bottle should last you a very long time.

The main things you can do to help your top are:
Keep it clean.
Don't open it in freezing weather.
Keep it clean.
The top definitely doesn't require agonizing.
