So I was detailing my sister's car before she sells it and my mom was watching me. All of a sudden she says to me "Can I try it?" So I said OK, ran inside and grabbed my camera

Yup, that's my mom applying Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover.

My mom just stands there and laughs at me. Tell her to be careful with that backing plate. It looks to be bigger than the pad. It could hit the paint.

That's a 5.5 inch Wolfgang orange cutting pad and the backing plate is the one the 7336 came with, I just added velcro. I've been careful with it, and had no problem with it, but eventually I'll get another one. The best part was that it was free.

Your mom rocks!

Definitely get a flexible backing plate. It's a very good idea and not much of an investment.
