iPod Cleaning?
Ok, so I'm sure some of you wash and wax wackos are just like me - not only does the car need to look nice and shiny, so does everything else that I own. With that said, my 5 year old ipod looks awful (all scratched up) and I can't stand looking at it. What car detailing products/methods can I use to get my ipod a little shiner? I'm sure a PC would be a bit overboard any suggestions?

I don't know... I need to clean the screen on my phone... its got streaks across it that I cant get off (I tried using a PC to get scratches out lol, but the streaks were there before that) It kinda looks like if you took your hand and smudged it across the screen, but I've tried cleaning with alcohol, Stoner's, and LCD cleaning wipes, nothing worked... any ideas?

Used a PC on my heavily scratched screen with Edge pads and a few different compounds...i used Velcro to attach it to my workbench and taped off the portion below the screen (didn't know if it would be bad to get compound in the clickwheel)...i was surprised how long it took to get the scratches out, about an hour...but now it looks as good as new...next time i'll use more aggressive compounds...but i've since encased it so it shouldn't get scratched...

could you use a very fine steel wool for the metal on the backside? I've used steel wool on my exhaust before and the results were great.
brykel - any tips for using the pc to remove the scratches? sounds tempting

I think you'll need something pretty aggressive to get scratches off the metal back...judging from how long it took with the PC on the plastic front, i think it'll be a lost cause with that...
