Default Instrument Panel Scratches

Hey guys,

It seems like someone took an SOS pad to my instrument panel! There are numerous scratches and smears. This thing scratches like crazy. Has anyone tried repairing these scratches with Meguiars Plastx with good results? I'm kind of scared to try it. While we're at it, will this work on the interior trim pieces too (sliding upholder door and plastic around the AC/Heat, radio controls and start button)?

If you have a pick and pull near by, go get any old car cluster with plastic and practice on it. I have used this stuff called Janvil in the past and it has worked well removing scratches out of clusters. I don't think its sold anymore. I know I heard some local say he took cluster out of his honda and used the headlight restoration kit and buffer and it worked wonders on his cluster. Hope this helps!

I have not tried these products, but I have seen them recommended on varioius detailing forums: Novus plastic polishes. You might want to do a search of various detailing forums, including this one, for reviews of the products.
