#9 good enought to get light to mild swirls off depending on the pads you use. right??
I have been told by two experienced detailers that when used with a D/A polisher #9 will remove micro-marring left by other polishes but will not remove most swirls. If one wants to remove swirls and scratches, one needs to move up to #80, #83, and now #105 and the new consumer-line products (SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, and Ultimate Compound). I recently bought myself a bottle of #9 to use as a paint cleaner to remove previously applied waxes and contamination. I have not used it yet but have been told it works well for that purpose.

I love M105! It can be a PITA sometimes, but once you get it right you can compound a car twice in the time it would take you to go around it once with SIP..

I was wondering what the difference is between Meguiars #9 swirl remover and #2 Fine cut cleaner.

If i was to use either of the two, what should be done after using those products before putting on sealant. polish, glaze??
I did a little more research for you. M09 and M82 are said to be the mildest of Meguiar's polishes. Then comes M80 and M83, with M02 right in between the two. M02 has been around a long time, and I suspect that it is much more popular with body shops than with detailing enthusiasts.

M80/M83 has been the most popular Meguiar's polish combo among D/A users for a good while, but that may well change with the new products. The M205/M105 is an obvious combo for professional buffers, but how useful will 105 be for enthusiasts who only detail their own cars and try to keep their cars in decent condition? We aren't going use 105 on a frequent basis, probably not even on a semi-annual or annual basis. So we need something along the lines of M80/M83. I'm thinking here: M205 and SwirlX. SwirlX is said to be a bit more aggressive than M83 but finishes down much nicer. I doubt I'll need any more power than that on a regular basis.

But I eagerly await the product reviews!
