I'll never wash my car with the top down again...
Seemed like a good idea at the time...
I didn't want to remove the top boot, put the top up, then later have to reverse the process just for a quick wash, so I put the windows up and washed.
Everything seemed fine until about a week later, when I put the top up. Maybe I wasn't careful enough when I washed the car, but there was water dripping off my top when I put it up a week after the wash. I would never put the top down wet and leave it, but I had apparently wet it down pretty bad when I washed the car with the top down. A wet top folded up in enclosed space causes me to fear mildew, etc.
Just one man's opinion.
