Q: what's the difference was between the two models of porter cable orbital polishers, the 7424 and the 7336?

(The 7336 is recommended above)

Get the clear bra.

My nose has > 20 rock chips from this past winter alone.

As soon as the rains stop, I'm doing a ding repair big-time.

^ There's no real difference. Everyone usually refers to it as 7424 and switches the counterweight to the 6" one when they get it. I believe the 6" counterweight is still free with the 7424 at Coasttool anyway.

I just purchased my first S2K. I take delivery in two weeks.
The car will be my daily dirver. I live in south Florida and have to leave the car outside everyday while at work.

I could use some advice on car covers, wax (or polymers) and protectants.

From reading previous postings, it sounds like Raggtopp is the preferred protectant; however, likely I will find it only online.

Feels like the first time....
Delray, I had a 3M clear bra put on my '05 the week after I bought it. Looks factory, put on by a guy in the Orlando area. Go to invincaman.com. Professional job. Probably a guy in your area. This guy travels all over, so if you strike out, give him a call.

How far up the hood did you go with the bra film?

Not a fan of the film terminator line, but then again, not a fan of rock chips either.

Without looking, went up about 18". The dreaded line is very hard to see. Unless you're right up in front of the car, you don't see it.

Thanks again everyone -- being a newbie, I have learned alot in the last week or so (and dropped about $700 on a car cover, detailing tools and products).

I pick up my new S2000 tomorrow (if the truck delivers it) and intend to apply your insights from day one.

I will keep you posted on my progress.
