Default I wanna try p21s

I just picked up a set of wheels to refinish see thread here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=566465 I cleaned one with some soap and water. I sprayed mequiers rim cleaner and used a brush and quickly scrubed them. They came out alot better than I thought. The only think really wrong with them is the lips need to be scuffed up and polsihed up really well. Anyway I wanted to try the P21s and see what I can get. Theres parts especially by the rivets that are hard to get to. WOuld the P21s work well if I spray and let it sit, scrub and rince? Thanx for the help

i always go least aggressive first and p21s wheel cleaner is one of the best and least aggressive... so i agree with your choice.
dont leave it sitting too long- rinse, wash with the p21s and a good wheel brush, rinse then do it again.
if its not great, you might have to do some polishing-

Yar, I agree.... Maybe even a wire wheel... There was a thread somewhere a while back about someone refinishing a set of wheels. You can try dismantling the actual wheel, and then polish/clean piece by piece. And just re-assemble, results would most likely be better, and I would consider it worth the time, if you really value the wheels.

I would love to take the wheels apart but they arent multi piece :-( mayne i could try a wire wheel on the lips to brighten them up.

They're not multi-piece but have rivets?

You guys might be talking about me with the rim refinishing.

Here is a before shot:

And here's an after:

I tried cheap wheel cleaner, simple green, goo gone, and a blue scotchbrite pad to get that caked on "schmegma" off the lips. Nothing worked. I spayed P21S wheel cleaner on, let it sit for about 2 hours, and then it simply wiped off. After it was clean, a 30 minutes of hand polishing got them looking like they do in that picture. Take from that what you will, but at this point, I stand by P21S wheel cleaner 110%.

Be warned though, to get great shine is going to take some work. There's no miracle product that makes it an easy job. I saw your original thread and your rims are in horrid shape. I wish you the best with your project. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

They may not be listed as "multi-piece", but i'd be willing to bet if you undid those bolts (I'd probably replace them after I did this), the center piece would come out. just like with Flite's wheels...

And btw, Flite, you just made me o-face.... those are pretty sex..... not gunna lie, Got any pictures of them completely done?

Ooooohhhhhh shit.....

Forgot to ask... Are they anodized????? That would make a biiiigggg difference... I remember reading about oxidation under the anodizing, which ****s rims up....Because you can polish anodized metals, IIRC.... I think I remembered reading that about a set of TE37's or something a while back...
