Default I need help! Pre-purchase opinion on paint

I'm in the negotiation phase for a car ('04 Forester XT). It has a bit more scratches on the paint than I'm normally comfortable, but wanted to know your guys' opinion on whether this vehicle could be saved. The couple selling the car has 2 dogs and it looked like they were caused by paws/nails of the dogs as they jumped up on the hood and door. Please let me know your opinion! Even if it doesn't come out perfect, I want to know what could be possible... Thanks for your quick response in advance!

My opinion is that those will only be fixed with re-spray.

The door looks like it *might* be fixable. The hood looks like it's done for.

I have a little over 8 years of detail experience. From the pictures it looks like 95% of that would come out with a person that knows how to buff. The rest of it could probably be wetsanded with 2k grit.

In my personal opinion, if you do decide to get that car, check out any good quality body shop or detail shop, they should be able to help you. That would be a lot cheaper then repainting. If you were in Wisconsin, Id help you out, but I dont think you are from here. Good luck with the car! Subaru's are my number 2 choice in cars.
