I just feel that it would not be right to not say that a search would turn up all of this information

Additionally, this is a total question based on the opinion of others. That being said, here are my oinions.

1 - Interior - I like to wipe down the interior with either Meguairs Quick Interior Detailer or 1Z. For the seats, I typically use the Zaino cleaner and then conditioner but have also had good luck with Poorboy's Leather Stuff.

2 - Top - I use the two part Raggtopp system on the tops. I have also used the 303 system and find the Ragg to be a bit better although sometimes harder to come by. On the window, I use Novus plastic cleaner and then polish. It can often be found at hobby shops as it is used for model aircraft work.

3 - Brands - As far as brands go, you find what works best for you and learn to use it properly. Personally, I use Menzerna, Werkstatt, Poorboy's, Zaino, Presta, along with a bunch of others. For actual supplies, the first place I would start would be learning to wash the car properly. For this you will need some buckets, two grit guards, a good wash mit (sheepskin possibly), and a high quality waffle weave microfiber towel(s).

I always encourage people to start whatever thread they want (except the dreaded repeat thread "how do I care for my convertible top?"), but you've unwittingly solicited at least 100 peoples opinions and will likely get each one and they will all be different.

I know there's a lot of information in this forum, but the best advice I can give you is to take some time and read as much of it as you can stomache. Then form your own opinion by trying some of the stuff recommended here.

we agree that we want folks to post up pretty much any question that they have here...
not into discouraging questions-
also agree that you are more likely to get the best advice by reading and then posting up what you think you would like and then post up to ask what others think of your choices.

that said, there is no one product line that i would ever use- i like diff products from lots of lines and it also depends on the specific need.
example- i use a very basic recipe of processes and products on my car... but it lives under a car cover and is never allowed to get very dirty. a car like that needs different products (imo) than a car like my daugther's car. hers lives outside, is never covered and seems to be always in need of detailing processes. the process and care for her car is different from mine (and i do not use the same products either).
my wife's car is not allowed to get very dirty, but it is never covered and is outside a lot (again, a third set of products used on that car).

each of my cars lives differently, has different detailing issues and gets different products to treat its specific issues.
again, the point is that each car has differing detailing needs and thus the products differ. which is why i always say that the second step of detailing is inspection- first step is washing so you can take the second step!
