I used 2000 grit to get a bulk of the oxidation off, and then 2500 for a nice smooth coat, to make polishing easier, then used some Meg's Cleaner and Plastic Polish (Two seperate products)

You can really feel the spots your need to sand more, because it's tough to go over the spots, and after a while, it gets really smooth....

and if you REALLY wanna reduce buffing time, use 3000 grit
