I have a small scratch
hey guys. i have a my00 and i know its 8 years old and there are tiny scratches and all, but i noticed after this last wash a few days ago i was california car dusting it and i noticed a scratch that i'm pretty sure was caused from my shammy. its about 2 1/2" long half way up the drivers side hood. just looking for tips and product from you guys.

once the pic is posted you probably be advised towards the least aggressive solution on up to the most.....worst case 3m makes a wet sand paper for a DA in 3000 grit. I would recommended it by hand if it's too deep to buff but, ONLY if you have some Idea of what wet sanding will do and how fast.... preferably be able to paint it yourself or intend to get it painted if something goes awry.

not looking too bad.....I would use 3m rubbing compound by hand first and go from there. If that doesnt work right away then try the compound on the buffer....oh and hood popped and staying away from the edge.

PC + Menzerna PowerGloss Compound + 4" Yellow Edge pad.
I fixed a few scratches that looked similar to that on a BB last weekend. Now you can barely see it and that's only if the light catches it just right.

be sure to "step down" to less aggressive polishes after the compound. you can get compound haze, but that will be cured by the step down...
