I-forge Aluminum Rims
My best friend just bought some I forge aluminum rims for his RX-8. He asked me if I knew anything about maintaining Aluminum rims. From what he explained to me, his rims do not come gloss coated, they are just highly polished to a mirror finish. Is there anything he needs to do specifically to maintain the rims. Let me know. thanks.

i suggest that he wash them good- if they arent really dirty, he can just use a good wheel brush and his car shampoo.
if they are dirty, then he should use a non-acid based wheel cleaner (p21s wheel cleaner is an example).

after cleaning and drying, he should then protect the wheels- i like zaino, but he can use just about anything...
wheelwax (wheelwax.com?) makes a good wax/synthetic combo- i put zaino on my wheels and then coat that with p21s carnuba (not necessary, but nice for extra credit, and a bit more bling!!)
