Default How often...

... do you all wash and wax your S2000? As a new owner of one of these beautiful cars, I've just gone through (after 2 weeks of operation) and done my first wash job on the car. Granted, my last car (traded in, thank goodness for this beauty) was not kept up as well as I should have, and I have made a vow to keep this one in the same gorgeous shape from which I took delivery of it.

I know it will have a lot to do with the area you live in, driving conditions, traffic and such, but I'd love to hear from others as to their frequency and stories.

Hand washed every other day because a friend owns a car wash business and waxed once a month. Car is too low to go thru the tunnel so they have to hand wash it.

No Zaino yet; been using Meguairs; but dying to use it base on the numerous testimonials about this Zaino product.

Well... I too am a new owner. I have Zaino on the way, but I would imagine you would wash the car when you notice filth. Cars don't sweat, so your new baby doesn't need a daily bath. As far as wax, it depends on which type you use to a certain extent and how much exposure to the elements and sunlight it gets. If you wax once every month you may be overkilling, or not. I figure from what I've read, somewhere in the range of every three months. Check out the strings on Zaino under the wash and wax. There is a great one where a fellow does a test on several types of wax on an NSX hood. Great stuff. Can anyone direct MJ to that string?

Since my car does not see rain or snow, I tend to wash on an "as needed" basis. Calgary is very dusty, so I usually end up washing about once every week or two, depending on how much I drive it. Lets just say that I probably wash it AT LEAST every one tank of gas. I Zaino'd my car last week for the first time and haven't washed it yet, so that is something that I'm looking forward to.

Wash every week. I try to Zaino once every other week. But I have been falling behind schedule this month. This week I plan on adding a few coats.
