Funny that you mentioned those make-up pads. I actually use the same thing for my seats with Lexol, except that I do not think the make up pads are 100% cotton (it's one of those more durable ones) -- so I'm not using that on the paint.

The last batch felt more like cotton. They woud fluff up with the Z-1 Polish Lok and with the Z-2 or Z-5 they would mat down and feel like they were saturated with wax.
I do not use the ZFX because I only do a small section at a time. The last few months, on Mondays, I would polish out the cone marks from playing sporty car before I took the car off the trailer and I would polish out one other panel that I had been noticing a scuff mark on. All I have left to do is the hood and the top of the front fenders, plus any new marks.
When I got the car, it looked like it had been scrubbed with a ScotchBrite.
