How many people wear latex gloves?
Just curious how many people do, to keep finger prints and such off the car.
Anyone have any other interesting things they wear also for various reason?

I do NOT wear latex, seeing as how Im highly allergic to it. However, I do wear latex-free gloves. Also, I dont wear pants with metal buttons or a belt. So Im usually wearing sweatpants, gym shorts, or another soft(er) material.

i wear them when i am handling carnaubas (outta the can to rub on a pc pad for example)... and when applying some tire stuff- maybe sometimes under the hood detailing and wheels off also.
dont like the feel, but do like how they keep my hands and fingernails from getting trashed!
echo mattfeet's uniform- i also wear pullover sweat shirt over t-shirt, and lose the sweatshirt as i get going... along with sweat pants.

I use Nitrile gloves when handling any kind of solvent like wheel cleaners (even as harsh as the acidic types). In cases where I have to remove tough water spotting from the paint (using our local product MX-7), I use gloves as indicated.

If I'm working with anything harsh, I wear Nitrile gloves. If not, I make it a point NOT to wear anything on my hands. I always run my hands over my car when it's freshly cleaned and still wet. That way I can feel for anything like sap or bug parts that are stuck on the car.

Not for detailing but certainly for brakes and anything greasy or oily.
