How long to detail car's exterior?

yup thats correct...
wash, dry and then polish

one small disadvantage is that the second round of polishing will remove the paint protection, so you have to rewax or resynthetic it (i just realized that my original post might have been misleading on this point).

you can clay while you wash. that will save a little time but not much

wash, clay, dry, and polish #1 took me all day

I'm going to save the rest for next weekend. Hopefully I learned how to work faster.

Am I supposed to have multiple pads for each polish? I noticed that my orange pad was clogging and I had to wash it twice. Am I using too much polish? Not working it long enough?
