How to get tape off my paint?
I recently did an autocross and had to stick my numbers on some scotch tape. Now I've got the tape off but it left behind a patch off sticky residue from the tape.
Does anyone who what I can use to get this stuff off without scratching the paint? Thanks for your help.

These medical products are good at removing sticky stuff from just about anything:
Detachol by Ferndale Labs
http://www.ferndalelabs.com/inc/frameset.a...ls/mastisol.asp
There's also a product called Uni-Solve made by Smith + Nephew, but I don't have a URL for it.
These products are removers for surgical adhesives. They're awesome.
As always, test on an out of the way spot to be sure it won't hurt the paint.

You might try this. It worked very well on the residue from the badges. I have had very good experiences with 3m products.

Heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting, it will cause it to melt and you can wipe it off.
Easier than using harsh chemicals, be careful not to hurt the clearcoat.
