Default how do you zaino guys deal with bird droppings?

Ok, I think i'm pretty much sold on Zaino, but I have a question. How do you guys with Zaino deal with bird droppings or bug splatters? How would you guys clean them off, without harming the zaino coating?

You don't need to worry about the Zaino. I think that you do need to worry about the contents of that little bird present, because it just might contain abrasive materials in it. Birds eat rocks and gravel to enable them to digest the food and that will wind up in the mess on your car.

I use an old cotton towel and some instant detailer spray and roll the towel through the mess so that it is being picked up by the towel and not being smeared on the paint.

Bugs usually just wash off with the hose or the wash mitt with no special effort needed.

I wash my car with warm/hot water. I run my garden hose into my basement taps connected together with a "Y". Hose the car down with warm water, then wash with mit and warm car wash soap. Repeat if necessary. Mind you, I have the 3M Scotchcal film on the front surfaces of my car and the bugs guts come off quite easily. I also have a bug mesh installed in front of the rad and A/C cannister to protection them from bug and rock damage.

if after carefully washing (or quick detailing) and drying (be careful to avoid scratches as boiler indicated) you see a stain, then try clay as the next step.

Out of curiosity, how long does a coat of Zaino last before it starts fading and looking ugly? After you wash the bug or bird dropping off, do you have to start the zaino process all over again? If so, i'll probably go with Meguiars gold instead...........

Thanks

Would I wash with Z7, and then reapply the Z6 to just that location, or to the entire car? I know these questions are dumb, but i'm used to cars that I just drive through the local brushless carwash!

Z6 is a spray on/wipe off "gloss enhancer". It is used primarily after a wash and dry to bring out the shine real good and to help remove any small "imperfections" resulting from the wash. You do the whole car. It is also used on the car to prep the previous Zaino coat so the next coat works better. You don't have to use Z6 but it's a sort of "bonus" so if all you want to do is that location, there is no rule that says you can't.
