how do you guys clean AP1 rims
i have an old wash mit that i use with fresh car wash solution once i'm done i have another mit i use on the car and change out the car was solution. Trouble is as soon as i begin washing the suds just die like the brake dust disintegrates them and i'm left washing my rims with what seems like plain water...
Any help would be appreciated, i stay away from rim cleaners because i'm afraid they are harsh and usually go back with windex and paper towels to detail the rims further...

my procedure is similar to both!
i use a separate bucket- if my wheels are dirty (not often), i use extra soap or (worst case) something like p21s wheel cleaner...
usually just the regular car shampoo and a wheel brush cleans them right up.
and thats cause at least once a week they get dusted (with a dedicated duster) and then detail sprayed... so they very rarely look dirty. almost always look freshly detailed. they have not been washed for a couple of months now, but look like they were washed yesterday.
by the way, please no paper towels!! they are made from trees and wood does scratch (light swirls will be the result)... you can use a swirl remover on your wheels and then rewax after if the swirls ever bother you.
---------
i guess it doesnt hurt that i dont use my brakes much, so they dont get much brake dust at all- mainly for parking (parking brake), emergencies/unexpected quick stops (rarely except on the freeway) and sometimes at a stop light or stop sign... but usually not needed. cause i love to play with the gears and listen to that spugen exhaust!!
