Nothing, but there was a post that indicated a chamois will leave streaks when the car completely dries.

Personally I have never had that problem.

The light water "residue" that a chamois leaves will dry without any marking streaks.

I think the key is to keep the chamois clean. Using a dirty, unwashed one will leave streaks. "Real" ones are better for non-streaking, but they tend to be unfriendly towards wax jobs.

Gentle cycle, minimal soap. They don't survive too many washings.

Mac,
Glad to help out. That's what the community is here for Everything I know I learned from others - a lot on Autopia.org and a lot here - and personal experience.

I've never ordered anything from Griots, but sometimes you can find good sales on towels from Autopia-Carcare.com (10% discount with "autopia" discount code at checkout), pakshak.com is renowned for their towels (also "autopia" for 10% or free shipping, I forget), as is exceldetail.com.

Aha - Autopia has their 2-pack of Der Wunder type drying towels on sale now (and they're throwing in some shampoo). I can usually dry the S with just one: http://autopia-carcare.com/son-dwdt-2.html Then I'll follow up with a smaller MF WW for door jambs, trunk and hood seals, etc.

This is a sometimes paying hobby for me now. Last summer I went all out and detailed about 20 customer cars. This summer I plan on taking it easier since my "day job" is heating up. I've only done two paid details so far this year, but it's a nice little bit of extra income. I also just did a detailing seminar at a local s2ki event... I just want everyone to take care of their cars in the best way possible!

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm going to order up the Der Wunder towel.
I'm using the old Meguiars cleaner wax, Meg gold wash soap(costco)
and a wool wash mit.
Should I switch anything on the list.
The car is three weeks old.

Thanks
Mac

Personally I'm not too fond of their cleaner wax. I'd clay the car first and then use a sealant/wax combo like Klasse AIO + P21S or something similar. It would really make that sebring shine.

Your soap and wool wash mitt are good.
