how do you clean oil marks
hey guys just wondering if you any of you have advice for cleaning oil that spilled in my garage.... i'm not only a wacko when it comes to keepin my car clean, her floor needs to be clean too. i was just doing an oil change and while i was draining the oil the wind HELLA blew and i have oil stains all over the floor now. i tried using dish soap but it didnt really do anything... will simple green work better? or some other cleaner?
while we're on the topic of garages, any of you know where to get those oil resistant tiles that ppl stick in their garage?
TIA all

I have used that stuff they sell for the purpose before. It is like a 50lb bag of kitty litter type material. If you grind it into the stain with your foot, you can sweep it away. This will depend on your floor surface though.
They make some great epoxy floor coating stuff for garages. Makes for like a plastic seal on the floor. Looks great, has nonskid properties and resists stains.

i use it on my driveway (with and old brush/spray on leave for a few mins and spray off) in case some oil or fluid spills on there
i think you can get them anywhere (kragen or autozone) but i seen big jugs of oil eater at costco
good luck

cant remember the last one that i used... but i do remember one called "pour n restore"-
i put cat litter on the oil to soak up as much as possible, remove the litter after a day or so, then use the cleaner.
pour n restore is liquid, but it dries to a powder...
let me find a source and post it back here

stevens2k- the oil eater looks interesting... havent used it, but here is more info:
