How did I do?
This is a follow-up to my previous post. I did some reading, here and other forums, on how to remove swirls. I decided to go down to CMA and picked up lots of goodies! Menzerna products, Raggtop, pads, etc...
Here's some pics after washing the car showing how bad the dealer installed swirls were!

I started with Menzerna Intensive Polish and orange pad on my PC and went to work! Then I followed it with Menzerna Final Polish with white pad. Spent about 7 hours! Results are great, however, there are some areas that need a little more work but I was too tired yesterday!
Some pics after polishing...
Trunk area...
Today I did the final step of applying Menzerna FMJ by hand using MF pad. I did a couple of coats so I can see what it would look like.
Here are the results.
So? Not bad huh? Overall I'm very satisfied with the results! But I'll probably need to do this again to remove the leftover swirls. Kinda hard to maintain a red car!!!
A couple more shots...

jeez louise, great job!!
only problem is that you are one of us now!
be sure to get some good protection on that paint soon...
(just to make sure you know- if you are gonna swirl remove again it will remove anything you put on for protection)

Thanks wanabe! Isn't FMJ considered protection? Yeah, I know to re-apply protection after removing the swirls.
you are absolutely right.
fmj is "full molecular jacket"... which is a synthetic polymer, and is a great finish.
i would top it with p21s, but not necessary!
