Default How to detail my car? (Exterior)

Okay so I reallly need to clean my CF hood and trunk badly. There are ton's of smudges on it and I don't know if it's from the rain or the fact that i've never really clean it. Now that it's looking very bad I don't know what to do to fix it. I'm going to take pics of it probably today or tomorrow and post them up. Also I was wondering about the rest of my exterior.

What products are best to use? Can I buy them from autozone/track auto/ auto track or one of those local shops around here? I've heard some things about clay bars but I dont know where to get it, how to use it. If anyone could recommend some products as far as car wash material, clay bars, and instructions I would really appreciate it. I'm looking to wash my car within the next few days but I rather be prepared and do it right then just a regular car wash.

Thanks for helping

pics will help...
your problem could be a clay or polish solution (my guess without pics is that its polish)

however, a vital piece of information is whether your cf hood is clear coated or not. most are, but not all... if its not the solutions are not the same as if it is.

not too sure about local auto shops like shucks or autozone, but zainobros.com and autogeek.net are good reputable companies to buy from!
