Default how to clean pads?

i am curious how to clean the pads. i have tried soaking them in dawn and squeezing them out but no matter what there is still so much compound left on it.

When i squize it out i get tons of polish/wax coming out. Seems like it will never be clean.

any advice ?

for my foam pads I just put the pad on my rotary buffer and start to spin them and place the tooth brush on the pad while its spinning. for wool pads I do the same except use like a philips screw driver instead of a tooth brush. prolly not the best way but it works

i have several diff pad cleaners, and they do work better than regular soaps.

and i use the on the machine method for drying anyway... also my lesson learned the hard way- keep the speed down. early on when i was experimenting with this i blew a pad apart by spinning it too fast.
the lowest speed ( 1 ) is fine for spinning out excess water. faster than that and you have some risk of the pad blowing apart (very strange sight to behold!!)

just seems that there is too much compound inside the pad and that soap doesnt seem to take it out. Am i using too much compound or is it that hard to clean it out.

i see people try to clean pads on a buffer but how would that take out compound that has been soaked in by the pad. I only think that can clean surface.

when I use my screwdriver method it basically breaks apart and stuck together wool and breaks the particls off. if your trying to clean a foam pad and you have that much compund stuck i think your using too much compound
