How to clean melted plastic off muffler tip?
I have a tiny bit of melted plastic on the muffler tip, wondering if anyone knows how to clean it off?

If the plastic has hardened, it can be a real pain in the ass. I had this happen a while back...I ended up using laquer thinner. Just be carful not to put that stuff near anything else I'm assuming that you have a stainless tip, if you have a titainium tip I dont know if you should use that stuff. It may discolor it.

If dry heat, wet heat (steam), or thinner doesn't work, try Brake cleaner (old fashioned stuff that hurts the ozone).
Try some of the goo-gone type products. Try tree sap remover. Get an ounce of perchloroethylene/trichloroethylene from a dry cleaner. Freons.
Any idea what kind of plastic it is?
In a previous life I was a chemical engineer on the big rocket, Plastics are really very delicate when you do the exact wrong thing to them.
If you know the type of plastic, find a container made with the material by going online and see what chemicals the material should not be exposed to and then expose it to them.
It may only soften at first or it may turn into something else or it may simply get clean If not try the various cleaning fluids again.
A watchmaker/jewery maker will probably help you get the tips shines up again even if they are 'brushed'.
