It couldn't have been on more than 60 seconds. And I rinsed it as instructed...with a "forceful spray".

Anyway, one good thing. The Black Opal tire spray is tits! Damn tires look like mirrors. Unfortunately, I'm sure this stuff will end up all over the side of my car.
Polishes may contain an abrasive, be careful. boiler said to treat your wheels just like the painted surfaces of your car, that's very good advise. Wash and wax the mags. I use Meguiar's Final Inspection on the car for quick clean-ups and that "just waxed" look. I also use it on my mags, spray it on a towel, wipe on and take a clean towel to wipe off. I use nothing but Microfiber towels, no swirl marks.

Never spray any type of tire dressing on the tire, the over spary may get on your rotors. Most tire dressings have silicone in them and that will contaminate your brake pads reducing your braking ability. Spray the dressing on an old rag or sponge then apply to the tire.

When I detail my s2 I use just a regular car wax on the wheels. But then again I don't let the brake dust sit on the wheels for more than a few days. You could eat off my rims.
