Hello everyone,
I was at a meet a while ago and noticed that my vinyl top does not bead like the other new s2ks. It absorbs what seems like a lot of water. It doesn't leak, but I know that can't be good. Right now all I use is Meguiar's Convertible Top Cleaner for spots and it works great. I do not was it with the rest of the car with conventional soap. What product do you recommend for the vinyl top treament after cleaning?
Thanks,
smanders

If you can't get the 303 (which I cannot due to being cdn.), I went out to my local Porsche dealer and got their soft top shampoo and conditioner.. Works like a charm !!!

303 does a great job for me and lasts a long time. I pour a little into a dish and lay a sponge in it. Drag the sponge from the center of the top toward you. This will apply an even coat. My top looks better now than when I drove the the car off the dealer's lot in April 2000.

Thanks so much for you responses. I am going out tomorrow and getting some 303. I found a place in town that sells the stuff, REI. This is the stuff right? I will be applying it this weekend. I'll let you know my experience with it. It does come in a spray bottle right? So the sponge is the best way to apply eh? I'll give that a try.

I've been using Weatherguard's Leather and Vinyl renewer. It was included with my 2000 Accord's weather rust proof/interior protection package it's about 19.95 for 16oz bottle, lasts a long time. The top looks black like when new and water beads up, its also good for the dash and seats.../interior. They also have other products..... glass cleaner, air freshener, paint protectant (Synthetic wax) etc...Their products work pretty good.
They have a 800 number to order. I have the # but it's outside in the trunk (I keep my cleaning supplies there).
PM me if you want the #

The sponge really works for me. Just a regular kitchen sponge. I put a good coat on. This will return the vinyl back to deep black and will cause water to bead up. I let the S sit sit in the sun after applying it so it soaks in and dries. Good luck!
