Default HELP SOMETHING IS DIRTY ON MY BUMPER

Something that looks like ink got on my bumper, is it road tar or someone hating on my s2k? Idk, i've tried to get it off with alcohol, p21 paintwork cleanser, meguiers & clay... it looks like ink, the alcohol got part of it left but it's still there... when getting it off w/ alcohol the paper towel had purple color on it, so i'm guessing it is some sort of ink...??? any suggestions, plz help!!

it looks black, coulda been some stuff from the road construction... help

I think I picked something like that up a while ago when driving past a construction site.

The best remover of anything is solvent - call your dealer - they should have some for removing stickers and other things......you'll be amazed how fast that mess comes off.

You can try Ronson lighter fluid or Bug and Tar cleaner. Make sure the car is clean and dry before you start attacking the offending mark.

If that doesn't work, drive by an autobody place and see if they can do it; maybe just a $10 or $20 will fix it. Bug and Tar is quite good cleaner.

3M Adhesive Remover has always worked for me and has never damaged the paint. Good luck.

Mineral spirits usually works well on most stains; it's cheap and won't hurt the paint.

Use Acrysol. You can pretty much buy that from any dealership.

Mr. Clean magic eraser, my wife figured that out when she saw me trying to get the road crap off my bumper.

Try using a mild abrasive compound, followed by a good polish. The stain probably didnt get through the clear coat and the compound should remove it. The compound will dull the finish so follow up with a good polish, then use Zaino or a good wax to protect the area. Be careful with solvents as something like an acrylic will remove the clear coat and the paint.
